Overview

The Payroll module is the central system used by the HR Manager or Admin to manage employee compensation, set salary structures, and process payments. It integrates with the Time & Attendance module to ensure that approved work hours are accurately compensated.

Core Functions & Sub-Modules

The module is structured into two primary areas:

  • Set Salary (Salary List): This is the database for defining and managing the pay structure for every employee.

    • It lists employees by Employee Code and Name.

    • It tracks the Payroll Type (e.g., Monthly/Fixed) and the Base Salary amount for each staff member.

    • It includes a search function to quickly locate employees by code or name.

  • Payslips (Implied): This sub-module is used to generate, distribute, and archive employees' pay statements, showing a breakdown of earnings, deductions, and net pay.

HR/Admin Focus

The Payroll module is essential for financial accuracy and employee trust:

  • Compensation Control: Provides the administrative control to modify and audit employee salaries and payroll frequency.

  • Data Integration: Utilizes approved data from the Timesheet module (Time & Attendance) to calculate variable pay components, such as Overtime, which are not explicitly shown on the Salary List but are necessary for final payroll processing (implied functionality).

  • Compliance: Ensures all salary records and payslip generation comply with financial regulations and company policy.
