Travel Request

The Travel Requests screen allows the HR Manager or Admin to review, process, and track all employee requests for company-related business travel. This ensures travel is approved, budgeted, and properly documented for compliance.

  • Location: Access this module through the main menu path: Home \rightarrow Time & Attendance \rightarrow Travel Requests.

  • Purpose: To centralize the approval workflow for official company travel requests.

  • Key Data: The list displays the Employee traveling, the travel Start Date and End Date, the Purpose of the trip, the Location, and the current Status.


Step-by-Step: Creating a New/Manual Request (Admin Action)

  1. Start the Request: Click the Plus Icon (+\text{+}) in the top right corner of the screen to open the travel request creation form.

  1. Enter Data (Implied Form Fields):

  • Select the Employee traveling.

  • Input the trip Location and Purpose.

  • Enter the Start Date and End Date for the travel.

  1. Save: Click "Save" to submit the request into the system.


Step-by-Step: Processing and Approving a Request

  1. Review Requests: The main table displays all pending and completed travel requests.

  1. Initiate Review: Click the action button in the Actions column next to a request to view its full details (implied action).

  1. Check Details: Verify the Location, Purpose, and the Start Date and End Date of the travel.

  1. Determine Action: Based on business justification and budget, decide whether to approve or reject the request.

  2. Update Status: Change the Status field (e.g., from "Pending" to "Approved") (implied action).

  1. Save: Click "Save" or "Approve Request" to finalize the decision (implied action).


Searching and Filtering Requests

  • Search Bar: Use the "Search records..." bar to find specific travel requests.

  • Filter by Audience: Use the "All Employees" filter to select a specific employee's travel history.

  • Filter by Status: Use the "All Statuses" filter to view requests that are pending, approved, or rejected.

  • Filter by Date: Use the From and To date fields (mm/dd/yyyy) to review travel planned within a specific time period.
