Shift Change Requests
The Shift Change Requests screen allows the HR Manager or Admin to review, approve, and track all employee requests to change their assigned work schedules. This is critical for managing scheduling, ensuring operational coverage, and maintaining accurate attendance records.
Navigating the Shift Change Requests List
Location: Access this module through the main menu path: Home → Time & Attendance → Shift Change Request.
Purpose: To centralize the workflow for formal changes to an employee's schedule.
Key Data: The list displays the Employee requesting the change, their Current Shift, the Requested Shift, the Date of Change, and the current Status.
Step-by-Step: Creating a New/Manual Request (Admin Action)
Start the Request: Click the Plus Icon (+) in the top right corner of the screen to open the request creation form.

Enter Data (Implied Form Fields):
Select the Employee.
Specify the desired Requested Shift and the Date of Change.

Save: Click "Save" to submit the request.

Step-by-Step: Processing and Approving a Request
Review Requests: The main table displays all pending and completed shift change requests.

Initiate Review: Click the action button in the Actions column next to a request to view its full details (implied action).
Check Details: Verify the Current Shift, Requested Shift, and the Date of Change.
Determine Action: Decide whether to approve, reject, or request more information based on business needs and shift coverage.

Update Status: Change the Status field (e.g., from "Pending" to "Approved") (implied action).

Save: Click "Save" or "Approve Request" to finalize the decision (implied action). If approved, the employee's schedule is updated in the system (implied action).

Searching and Filtering Requests
Search Bar: Use the "Search requests..." bar to locate specific change requests quickly.

Filter by Employee: Use the "All Employees" filter to select a specific employee's pending or past requests.

Filter by Status: Use the "All Statuses" filter to view requests that are pending, approved, or rejected.

Filter by Date: Use the From and To date fields (
mm/dd/yyyy) to view requests for changes occurring within a specific time period.
